Dannii Minogue burst into tears on the X Factor overnight, as one of her favourite acts was kicked out.
The big-hearted judge lost her cool when the act was sent home from Boot Camp. Only 24 make it through to the judges’ houses before being cut down again for the live TV finals of the contest.
Last night show bosses were keeping the identity of the act a secret to avoid spoiling the surprise for viewers.
She needed a tissue to dry her eyes as she tried to compose herself.
“This is one person who she really fell in love with, for more reasons than one. So it’s hard for her when she has to say goodbye,” said the insider.
Our source revealed: “Dannii realised once again that it’s a competition between the judges as much as it is between the competitors. Dannii was really gutted.”

But Dannii comes back with guns blazing and ready to stick it to Cheryl, by getting some extra help from big sister Kylie, 41. Kylie will appear on the X Factor along side Dannii.
The sisters had a great time as they auditioned Dannii’s six acts at the luxurious Atlantis Palm hotel in Dubai to select the lucky three for the final.
